All of this means that Oma was likely able to figure out the culprit of each case before this on his own and either simply didn’t try to do so, or he did and just kept the knowledge hidden from his classmates. This can obviously lead us to assume that Oma would be able to figure out the killers in other murder cases, which all provided much more and much clearer evidence than simply an explanation of how a computer system worked from someone who would’ve been able to lie about it all they wanted.
In chapter four, we can clearly see Oma outsmarting practically every other person in the game based on a very small sample-size of information and a very limited amount of time to devise a plan. Now, let’s take a quick break from the events of chapter four (just a quick one, trust me) and use this as evidence for Oma’s selfishness in other chapters. He uses this knowledge to piece together how the world actually functions, the fact that Iruma had tampered with his own in-game avatar, and the vast majority of her plan to kill him all on his own while also devising a plan of his own to retaliate and have her killed instead of him, also in a way that would leave his own hands ‘clean’ and would result in someone else being named the blackened and allowing him to remain spotless and live through the trial. He discovers Iruma’s plot to murder him inside of the virtual reality fairly quickly and easily, he is one of the smartest kids in this game after all, and he manages to figure all of this out just from what we can assume to be a cursory explanation of the system similar to the one Iruma gave the others before they entered. While a lot of Oma’s actions are revealed to have been for the purpose of ending the killing game and causing as little death as possible, Oma still shows himself to be an incredibly selfish person, especially during the game’s fourth chapter.
If you want to intemperate these things differently and have a friendly debate about that, I’m totally up for it. This is really just me pointing out a character flaw I believe he has. Oma is actually my second favorite character from V3 (after the purest of pure robots), and I love and adore him in all of his crazed mania. And before anyone angrily scrolls past this, it’s not character hate. So, obviously, this will have a bunch of spoilers for V3. I’m not sure if I would call this a character analysis per-se, more like analyzing some of Oma’s actions as proof behind why I have this opinion on Oma being a really selfish person.
